As an Agency Development Representative (ADR), your focus is on nurturing, maintaining, and cultivating customer relationships and success from existing and newly created agency accounts. ADRs are responsible for progressing clients through the sales funnel to pursue contracts and refer higher revenue agencies to the Agency Business Unit (ABU) Sales team. They also manage outbound prospecting of marketing qualified leads (MQLs) generated from marketing campaigns.
What You Will Do
- Nurture, maintain, and cultivate customer relationships and success from existing and new public relations, investor relations, and marketing agency accounts.
- Contact customers via telephone, email, and social media to share knowledge and establish yourself as a resource within investor relations, financial reporting, public relations, marketing, and corporate communications industries.
- Handle incoming emails and calls from prospective and existing clients, addressing queries related to pricing, billing, product information, and other questions.
- Develop thorough industry knowledge, including our products, services, and competitors.
- Effectively communicate the value proposition and ROI of Business Wire products and services.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in Salesforce CRM, including calls, meetings, opportunities, emails, and social outreach.
- Maximize results by satisfying multiple buyers within an organization and systematically addressing conflicting needs of multiple buyer influencers.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve shared goals.
- Research prospects, identify stakeholders, generate interest, and build rapport.
- Manage expectations and overcome objections effectively.
What You Will Need
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop relationships across organizational hierarchies, including C-level executives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Exceptional time management skills to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Resilience, perseverance, and the ability to overcome objections.
- Self-discipline, organization, and ambition to meet daily and monthly objectives.
- Understanding of and ability to communicate with professionals in investor relations, financial reporting, public relations, marketing, and corporate communications (preferred).
- BA/BS degree or international equivalent (preferred).
- 1 year of sales experience (preferred).
- Proficiency with Salesforce.com and HubSpot (preferred).

- Base salary range: $50K to $60K/year, determined by education, experience, skills, and market factors. Salary may be modified.
