Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania is seeking a Youth Development Professional to work hands-on with youth, implement curriculum, and supervise safety and relationships at the Sto-Rox Clubhouse in McKees Rocks, PA.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 2500 hours of experience with children, proficiency in Google Suite, and the ability to manage various physical tasks. This position is part-time with hourly pay of $17.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2500 hours experience working with children.
• Interest in youth programs including technology, art, sports, STEM, mentoring and recreation.
• Proficient in Google Suite.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and various mobility tasks.

Responsibilities

• Create and support meaningful lesson plans and activities for all youth served.
• Implement educational programming including STEAM, mentoring, athletics, literacy and activities.
• Ensure safety of all program participants while in care.
• Encourage participation in clubhouse community events.
• Promote and stimulate membership in the Clubhouse through programs and outreach activities.
• Participate in monthly incentive programs focusing on literacy, STEM, Art, Mentoring, Athletics and SEL activities.
• Work with volunteers, tutors, and students to support education improvement.
• Promote a fun, safe and inclusive environment for all ages.
• Provide input regarding department programs in partnership with the Program Manager.
• Observe and report maintenance or safety concerns to the Clubhouse director.
