Job summary

The Youth Development Professional at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania will work hands-on with youths, implementing curriculum and programming daily while ensuring safety and fostering positive relationships. The role aligns with DHS Chapter 3270 regulations and BGCA safety requirements.

You will support lesson planning, supervise activities, and collaborate with volunteers and staff to promote inclusive, engaging programs across STEAM, literacy, mentoring, and sports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2500 hours of experience working with children (babysitting excluded).
• Interest in diverse youth programs including technology, art, sports, STEM, mentoring and recreation.
• Proficient in Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Create and support meaningful lesson plans and activities for all youth served.
• Implement educational programming including STEAM, mentoring, athletics, literacy and activities.
• Ensure the safety of all program participants while in care.
• Encourage participation in clubhouse community events.
• Promote and stimulate membership in the Clubhouse through programs, services, and outreach activities.
• Participate in monthly incentive programs focused on literacy, STEM, art, mentoring, athletics and SEL.
