Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania is seeking a Youth Development Professional at the Sto-Rox Clubhouse in McKees Rocks, PA. This part-time, hourly role will hands-on implement curriculum and programming for youth on a day-to-day basis.

The position emphasizes supervision and safety of participants, relationship building, and adherence to DHS Chapter 3270 Regulations and BGCA Safety requirements. 50 lb lift potential and multi-task responsibilities are described.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; 2500 hours of experience working with children preferred.
Interest in youth programs including technology, art, sports, STEM, mentoring and recreation.
Proficient in Google Suite.

Responsibilities

Create and support meaningful lesson plans and activities for all youth served.
Implement educational programming including STEAM, mentoring, athletics, literacy and activities.
Ensure the safety of all program participants while in care.
Encourage participation in clubhouse community events.
Promote membership in the Clubhouse through programs and outreach activities.
Participate in monthly incentive programs focusing on literacy, STEM, Art, Mentoring, Athletics and SEL.
Collaborate with volunteers, tutors, and students on education initiatives.
Foster a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for all ages.
