Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania at the Shadyside Clubhouse in Pittsburgh, PA seeks a Youth Development Professional to implement curriculum and programming for youth on a day-to-day basis. You will supervise and ensure the safety of all participants, building positive relationships and following DHS and BGCA Safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2500 hours of experience working with children required.
• Interest in youth programs including technology, art, sports, STEM, mentoring and recreation.
• Proficient in Google Suite.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and various movements as described.

Responsibilities

• Create and support meaningful lesson plans and activities for all youth served.
• Implement educational programming including STEAM, mentoring, athletics, literacy and activities.
• Ensure safety of all program participants while in care.
• Encourage participation in clubhouse community events.
• Promote membership and outreach through programs and services.
