Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania is hiring a Youth Development Professional at the Aliquippa Clubhouse. You will implement curriculum, supervise youth and ensure safety while building positive relationships with participants and staff.

You will follow DHS Chapter 3270 Regulations and BGCA Safety requirements, supporting diverse programs from STEAM to mentoring and athletics. This role is part-time and hourly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2500 hours experience working with children.
• Interest in youth programs including technology, art, sports, STEM, mentoring and recreation.
• Proficient in Google Suite.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and various movements.

Responsibilities

• Create and support meaningful lesson plans and activities for all youth served.
• Implement educational programming including STEAM, mentoring, athletics, literacy.
• Ensure safety of all program participants while in care.
• Encourage participation in clubhouse community events.
• Promote and stimulate membership through programs and outreach.
• Participate in incentive programs focusing on literacy, STEM, art, mentoring, athletics and SEL.
• Work with volunteers, tutors and students in education improvement initiatives.
• Promote a fun, safe and inclusive environment for all ages.
• Offer input on department programs with Program Manager approval.
• Observe and report maintenance and safety concerns to the Clubhouse director.
