Job summary

Marion Superior Court Youth Services Center is seeking a Training and Staff Development Coordinator to lead the Training Department and supervise Field Training Officers. You will oversee onboarding, job training, required certifications, and continuing education to strengthen employee readiness and retention.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with significant supervisory experience in juvenile justice or related settings.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent with supervisory experience in juvenile justice or related field.
Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience with staff development and supervision.
Must obtain instructor certifications (First Aid/CPR, HWC, MHFA) and other facility training.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction to Training Department; set priorities, goals, and training schedules.
Directly supervise Field Training Officers and manage onboarding, field training, and certifications.
Develop and maintain annual training plans and ensure compliance across shifts.
Coordinate staff and leadership development for employees and emerging leaders.
Collaborate with HR and facility leadership on onboarding, recruitment, and workforce development.
Observe operations and enforce training standards; provide corrective coaching as needed.
