Job summary

The City of Durham, NC is seeking a Youth Services Analyst to support research, design, development, and implementation of youth-focused programs and projects that expand access to resources, build life and leadership skills, elevate youth voice, and strengthen pathways to opportunity for young people across Durham.

You will work closely with the Youth Services Manager, youth and community partners to develop programs based on division priorities and community needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Community Development, or a related field; Master's degree (MPA, MPP, MSW, or related) or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Two years of experience designing, developing, and implementing youth-focused programs, projects, or community initiatives.
• Valid NC Class C Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop assigned youth-focused programs and projects based on established goals, priorities, and identified community needs.
• Develop program frameworks, implementation plans, and recommendations for leadership review, and coordinate implementation of approved programs and projects.
• Research youth and community needs, best practices, and existing resources to inform program design and improvement.
• Design and facilitate workshops, trainings, youth activities, listening sessions, and other engagement opportunities that build skills and elevate youth voice.
• Develop and maintain relationships with youth, families, schools, community organizations, service providers, and other partners to support program goals.
• Coordinate with internal departments and community partners to develop collaborative approaches and support effective implementation.
• Collect, track, and analyze program feedback and data to measure performance and contribute to evaluation and continuous improvement efforts.
• Help ensure programs and initiatives are accessible, culturally responsive, and grounded in youth and community needs.
• Communicate project progress, challenges, recommendations, and resource needs to the Youth Services Manager.
