Job summary

KidsPeace in Ellsworth, Maine, seeks a Treatment Team Supervisor to guide and support our residential treatment team. You will supervise Direct Care Technicians, coordinate unit programming, and ensure the safety and well‑being of the youth in our care.

You will provide individual counseling, facilitate therapeutic groups, and collaborate on individualized plans and daily schedules while developing staff skills to meet evolving responsibilities and challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Services, Child Development, Behavior Management, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience working with behaviorally challenged youth.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
• Understanding of mental health diagnoses, including autism spectrum disorders.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise, mentor, and coach Direct Care Technicians.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment, addressing risks swiftly.
• Provide individual counseling and facilitate therapeutic groups for youth.
• Utilize crisis intervention techniques when necessary for safety.
• Collaborate on individualized treatment plans and daily therapeutic schedules.
• Share critical updates with treatment teams to ensure high-quality care.
• Train and professionally develop staff to meet evolving responsibilities.
