The role acts as a floater across residential units, handling crisis intervention, incident reporting, and coordination of evening programming, with comprehensive training provided to support staff and youth welfare.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years of experience working with children, preferably in a residential or behavioral health setting.
• Strong written communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to physically participate in crisis intervention procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and support to residential staff in crisis prevention and intervention.
• Deliver direct crisis intervention using Safe Crisis Management (SCM).
• Ensure compliance with all Critical Incident Report requirements, including documentation, staff debriefings, and follow-up coordination.
• Assist in evening and off-campus programming, ensuring proper staffing ratios across all units.
• Participate in physical crisis interventions, including restraints, when necessary.
• Maintain consistent presence within the residential units to ensure safety and support.
