Job summary

The Jewish Board is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work with children and adolescents in a residential treatment setting in New York, NY. This role focuses on implementing daily living skills within the treatment plan and acting as a positive role model to support health and safety of residents.

The position requires care, compassion, and strong communication as part of a multidisciplinary team, with opportunities for ongoing staff meetings and trainings and coordinated community

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Driver's License required.
• Some experience with similar population in residential setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day care and support to residents, including hygiene, meal planning and activity supervision.
• Develop, supervise and run activity sessions for residents.
• Escort residents to medical, social, and other appointments.
• Document resident interactions and progress in electronic records.
• Collaborate with treatment team and participate in meetings and trainings.
