Job summary

Columbus Consolidated Government in Columbus, GA is seeking an energetic recreation assistant to support the Community Schools Division in administering activities for children enrolled in programs.

You will help organize and implement activities, monitor participant wellbeing, prepare weekly attendance reports and deposits, and attend monthly staff meetings while striving to improve operations and customer service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and competency from specialized training beyond high school.
• Experience or apprenticeship related to the major duties.

Responsibilities

• Administers assigned recreation activities and assists the Site Supervisor in organizing and implementing programs for children enrolled.
• Demonstrates responsibility for well being of participants.
• Assists Site Supervisor in preparing weekly attendance reports, financial statements and deposits.
• Attends monthly staff meetings and supports continuous improvement and customer-driven service.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
