Job summary

GEORGIA RECREATION AND PARK ASSOCIATION INC. is seeking an Athletic Coordinator to design and promote athletic programs for youth and adults, and to manage park facilities, grounds, and finances with integrity. The role reports to Athletic Supervisor and Athletic Manager.

Responsibilities include overseeing registrations, financial tracking, inventory and equipment purchases, safety compliance, and program scheduling. Strong leadership, budgeting, and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; college coursework in recreation preferred; 3 years previous experience and/or training that includes planning and implementing youth sports programs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and conflict management.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Conducts registration; assigns participants to proper team; collects and accounts for registration fees and concessions receipts; makes daily bank deposits and prepares daily cash reports.
• Maintains financial records and reports to Fiscal/Procurement Coordinator weekly; assists with inventory, bidding, and purchases of equipment, trophies, and uniforms.
• Maintains grounds and facilities in the assigned park; communicates safety and sportsmanship; prepares reports, schedules, and lists; oversees tryouts and drafts; ensures coaches are certified; coordinates volunteers and park improvements.
