Job summary

Columbus Consolidated Government is seeking an Athletic Programs Administrator to plan, organize, and oversee adult recreational activities. The role includes meetings, rule creation, fee collection, and coordinating schedules and tournaments.

Qualifications

  • Experience in athletic facility and program management.
  • Ability to supervise and train staff.
  • Knowledge of budgetary administration.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid Georgia driver's license or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and oversee adult recreational programs.
  • Conduct organizational meetings, create rules, collect fees.
  • Coordinate schedules and tournament brackets.
  • Register teams with national organizations.
  • Update division website with schedules, standings, photos.
  • Train, supervise, and direct athletic staff.
  • Monitor budgetary monies and ensure vendor payments.
  • Liaise with volunteer youth sports organizations.
  • Recruit and oversee special events.
  • Schedule and collect fees for youth coach certification classes.
  • Process work order requests.
  • Monitor facilities for safety.
  • Coordinate with Muscogee County School District for events.
  • Perform other related duties.
