Job summary

The Youth Program Manager oversees the day-to-day operation of Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania programming, creating a safe, engaging environment where young people can learn, grow, and build meaningful relationships.

The Program Manager plans and delivers high-quality youth programming, supervises staff, builds relationships with students and families, and serves as a key connection within the Clubhouse.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and youth in educational, recreational, after-school, or community-based settings.
• Ability to build positive relationships with youth, families, and partners.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading programs or supervising staff (preferred).
• Comfortable using Google Workspace and maintaining program records.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and oversee engaging programs for youth in areas such as STEM, literacy, arts, recreation, leadership, and healthy lifestyles.
• Create a positive, inclusive environment where youth feel safe, supported, and connected.
• Manage daily schedules, activities, attendance, and program operations.
• Support youth recruitment, enrollment, participation, and retention.
• Maintain accurate program records, reports, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with policies and licensing requirements.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and support to program staff.
• Assist with onboarding, training, scheduling, and staff development.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and positive youth development.
• Build relationships with students, families, staff, and community partners.
• Support family engagement activities and events.
• Connect youth and families to opportunities available through the Clubhouse.
