Job summary

Devereux Massachusetts is hiring an Assistant Program Manager to work with youth in a demanding behavioral healthcare environment. The role focuses on therapeutic interventions, coordination with the program leadership, and delivering structured programming for individuals in a high-stimulus setting.

The position requires MAPS certification or the ability to obtain it within six months, a clean driving record, and a strong commitment to safety, compassion, and teamwork in our community partner

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license required.
• High School Diploma with two years of congregate care experience or Bachelor’s degree with one year of congregate care experience; degrees in the subject area of psychology, social work, sociology, or related field preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be MAPS certified, or able to obtain certification within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Be passionate about working with and helping youth.
• Provide and ensure therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.
• Collaborate with the Program Manager/Director to create program vision and a positive working environment.
• Assist with the planning and implementation of programming for individuals.
• Assist with staffing and other aspects of program management as needed.
• Possess a high level of organizational and communication skills.
