Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Carson seeks a Youth Development Professional to plan, supervise and evaluate activities in Academics, Social Recreation and Physical Education for our members. You will supervise staff, coordinate tutoring, and ensure safe, engaging programs that build life skills and healthy habits.

Responsibilities include promoting participation, registering members, maintaining records, collaborating with schools and parents, and supporting program development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and youth development is required.
• Ability to guide, mentor and model positive behavior for youth.
• Strong planning, organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and stimulate program participation.
• Register new members and conduct Club orientation.
• Enhance member recruitment and ADA.
• Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
• Effectively implement programs and activities for drop‑in members.
• Provide daily homework and tutoring assistance.
• Maintain attendance records and documentation.
• Support coordination in recruitment and retention efforts.
• Plan activities to engage parents and stakeholders.
• Prepare weekly and monthly activity schedules.
• Create bulletin boards and displays of member activities.
• Address concerns from parents and teachers.
• Advise Director or Coordinator on program needs and staffing.
• May drive Club van and obtain Class B license.
• May assist in other program areas.
