Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Carson is seeking a dedicated youth program assistant to plan, implement, and supervise activities across Education, Social Recreation, Arts & Crafts, and Physical Education. You will work directly with youth, provide homework help, track attendance, and help create a safe, engaging environment under the supervision of the Director.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, prior experience with children, CPR/First Aid and TB clearance, and a valid driver’s

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED and prior experience with youth.
• CPR and First Aid certifications and TB clearance are required.
• Must have a valid State Driver’s License.
• Ability to guide, supervise and model appropriate behavior for youth.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate activities within program areas.
• Provide daily homework and tutoring assistance.
• Maintain attendance and program documentation.
• Order supplies and communicate program needs to supervisor.
• Prepare schedules and bulletin boards; recruit members locally.
• Ensure safety and positive behavior in all activities.
• Participate in staff meetings and collaborations with schools and parents.
