Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Carson is seeking an on-site Youth Program Leader to plan, supervise, and evaluate activities across Education, Social Recreation, Arts & Crafts, and Physical Education. You will support members with homework, mentor youth, and maintain logs, ensuring a safe, engaging environment.

Required are a High School diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid, TB clearance, and experience with children. You will collaborate with staff and volunteers, promote participation, and help prepare weekly

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience working with children is essential.
• Knowledge of youth development is preferred.
• Must be reliable, responsible and punctual.
• Ability to guide, assist and model positive behavior.
• Strong ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
• Good public communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and supervise safe, quality programs for youth.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Youth for Success by promoting participation and guiding members.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate activities in Education, Special Education, Social Recreation, Arts & Crafts and Physical Education.
• Provide homework help and tutoring to members.
• Maintain attendance logs and necessary documentation.
• Monitor safety and ensure program quality at all times.
• Prepare schedules and organize learning centers and displays.
• Coordinate with staff and volunteers; address concerns from parents and teachers.
• Drive club operations and participate in staff meetings as needed.
