Job summary

KEENE FAMILY YMCA is seeking an Out of School Time Coordinator to support school-age programs and provide a safe, engaging environment for youth. You will supervise staff, plan activities, and uphold the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

The role emphasizes building relationships with families and the community, with a focus on safety, inclusivity, and positive youth development within a seasonal, part-time schedule.

Qualifications

  • 21+ years of age and able to pass a background check.
  • Minimum 1 year supervising 3+ staff.
  • 3+ years' experience with youth in a school-age setting.
  • Behavioral management experience in school/childcare settings preferred.
  • 2-4 years' experience working with children with cognitive/developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire.
  • Complete health form within the first 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Build meaningful relationships with YMCA members, participants, volunteers, and guests.
  • Supervise and support OST programs at all locations.
  • Support and train staff in planning engaging, enrichment-based activities.
  • Provide leadership to co-staff.
  • Adhere to program safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Attend staff meetings, trainings, and events.
  • Follow YMCA policies on medical, disciplinary, and abuse prevention procedures.
  • Fulfills other functions designated by YMCA Administration.
