Job summary

YMCA is seeking a part-time staff member to plan and conduct classroom activities for the School’s Out program under supervision. The role involves supervising children after school, supporting paraprofessional duties, and coordinating with the supervising director.

The position requires engaging with families, maintaining enrollments, and adhering to EEC regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong organizational skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or HS diploma with relevant experience in programs for school-age children.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certifications or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Experience in customer service or staff supervision is required.
• Ability to enforce policies and ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee afternoon operation of the afterschool program from 2:30pm–6:00pm.
• Paraprofessional duties from 10:00am–1:45pm.
• Maintain enrollment and prepare required paperwork (plans, attendance, snack counts).
• Coordinate site logistics and supplies; submit monthly calendars/newsletters using Microsoft Office.
• Provide leadership to Group Leaders and foster relationships with families and schools.
