Job summary

Keene Family YMCA in Keene, NH is seeking an Out of School Time Group Lead to supervise school-age children in a safe, engaging setting and to support program goals aligned with YMCA core values.

This part-time role reports to the Out of School Time Director, involves planning activities, supervising co-staff, and ensuring compliance with safety, health, and child protection policies; prior experience with youth and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a background check.
• 2+ years' experience working with youth in school-age settings.
• Behavioral management experience in school/childcare settings preferred.
• 1-3 years' experience working with children with cognitive and developmental disabilities preferred.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, and Child Abuse Prevention training within first 30 days of hire.
• Completed health form within the first 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a group of children in grades K-5.
• Plans and implements developmentally appropriate activities.
• Provides leadership to co-staff.
• Adheres to safety and cleanliness standards.
• Attends staff meetings, training, and dedicated events.
• Follows YMCA policies including medical, disciplinary, and child abuse prevention policies.
