KEENE FAMILY YMCA in Keene, NH is seeking an Out of School Time Group Lead to supervise a group of children in a school-age setting, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment and engaging youth with the YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.

You will report to the Out of School Time Director, plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities, supervise co-staff, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards. This part-time seasonal role offers a competitive pay range.

Qualifications

  • 18+ years of age.
  • Background check required.
  • 2+ years' experience with youth, preferably in school-age setting.
  • Behavioral management experience in school, childcare, camp, or with parents preferred.
  • 1-3 years' experience working with children with cognitive/developmental disabilities preferred.
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, and Child Abuse Prevention training within first 30 days of hire.
  • Health form completed within first 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Builds personal and meaningful relationships with YMCA members, participants, volunteers, and guests.
  • Supervises a group of children grades K-5.
  • Plans and implements developmentally appropriate activities aligned with YMCA values.
  • Provides leadership to co-staff.
  • Adheres to program standards including safety and cleanliness.
  • Attends staff meetings, trainings, and events (e.g., family nights).
  • Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including medical, disciplinary, and abuse prevention policies.
  • Fulfills any other functions designated by YMCA Administration.
