Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta seeks a Youth Development Leader to oversee play centers, teen leadership, day camp, membership, and community events. This role requires hands-on leadership, strong staff supervision, and a focus on safety and quality programs across multiple locations.

Responsibilities include supervising staff and volunteers, managing grants and budgets, developing partnerships, and ensuring program standards meet licensing and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires strong communication and collaboration with staff, volunteers and participants.
• Experience managing budgets, grant programs and schedules.
• Ability to lead diverse programs including afterschool, camps and community events.
• Proven track record in developing partnerships with community organizations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage operating plans to promote program growth, impact, and safety.
• Supervise staff and volunteers across the department.
• Oversee branch grant programs, budgets, and policy compliance.
• Design practices for strong youth development programs.
• Recruit and train Afterschool staff and volunteers; schedule and evaluate performance.
• Monitor expenditures, revenues, and data to forecast financial progress for the branch.
• Coordinate program registrations, scholarships, and community partnerships.
• Maintain records and ensure safety standards at all locations.
