Job summary

The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is seeking a Youth Development Director to lead the development and operations of programs at the Cowart Family Ashford Dunwoody YMCA. You will oversee play center, teen leadership, day camp, and membership initiatives, with occasional outdoor activities.

You will supervise staff and volunteers, manage budgets and grants, partner with community organizations, and uphold safety and licensing standards while delivering high-quality youth programs across the branch.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 4+ years of people or program management experience, or a bachelor's degree with 2+ years in related fields.
• Ability to communicate effectively with participants, community leaders, and staff of all ages.
• Strong attention to detail and experience managing grants and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage operating plans to promote program growth, impact, and safety.
• Provide day-to-day supervision of staff/volunteers related to the overall department.
• Oversee branch grant programs to ensure policies and budgets are met.
• Design and improve youth development programs and partnerships.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate Afterschool staff and volunteers.
• Monitor expenditures, revenue, and program scholarship processing.
