Arc After School & Experiential Education is seeking an Assistant Site Coordinator for a part-time, on-site role at a school site in Southern California. You will work directly with students, support the Site Coordinator, and take on leadership and administrative tasks including lesson planning, attendance tracking, and program management.

The position emphasizes safety, engaging enrichment activities, and collaboration with staff to foster a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in after-school programs or youth recreation, in diverse communities.
Good communicator with kids and parents.
College transcripts showing 48+ credits or take and pass proficiency exam.
TB test with negative result and Live Scan background check.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus for your resume.

Responsibilities

Assist the Site Coordinator as second point of contact for parents and admins.
Oversee safety and well-being of students during after-school activities.
Establish and enforce rules to promote positive behavior.
Coordinate and lead indoor and outdoor enrichment activities.
Attend trainings and staff meetings on childcare, safety, and program management.
Address challenging behavior with supervisors or parents when needed.
Facilitate sign-up procedures and accurate attendance tracking.
Create and lead student clubs (career readiness, cooking, anime, dance, etc.).
Organize activities including homework help, games, arts and crafts, and educational projects.
