Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. in Providence County is seeking an Assistant Director to support the Program Director by hiring and training staff, supervising the team, and reporting weekly performance to the Director.

The role includes intakes, coordinating participant staffing, and managing service hours to maximize weekly services while ensuring compliance with YAP and referring authorities. A commitment to strength-based, culturally competent care is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; an Associate’s degree with commensurate experience is acceptable.
• 3–5 years of related experience in youth services, juvenile justice, or community programs.
• At least 1 year of management/supervision experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with an EHR system is a plus.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
• Bilingual Spanish language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Director in the Providence County program with hiring and training staff, motivating and supervising the team, and communicating weekly performance to the Director.
• Perform intakes, coordinate participant staffing, and manage service hours to ensure maximum weekly services while ensuring compliance with YAP and referring authority requirements.
• Commit to strength-based, culturally competent, and unconditional care philosophy.
• Knowledge of mental health practices and juvenile justice systems; familiarity with budgetary concepts is a plus.
• Demonstrate creativity and proactive planning to fulfill program goals.
