Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. in New York seeks an Assistant Director to support the Program Director with hiring, training, and supervising staff, and to communicate weekly performance to the Director.

This role requires a commitment to strength-based, culturally competent, and unconditional care practices. Responsibilities include managing intakes, coordinating staffing to ensure weekly service levels, and maintaining compliance with YAP and referring authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree generally preferred; commensurate experience in community-based agency programs acceptable.
• At least one year of experience managing personnel and budgets.
• Experience with at risk youth, probation, court liaison is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR systems are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Program Director with hiring and training staff; supervise staff performance.
• Coordinate intakes and staffing to ensure weekly service hours and compliance.
• Support scheduling, evenings and weekends as needed; travel to homes and schools.
• Ensure compliance with YAP policies and referring authority requirements.
