Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. in Dauphin County (CTC) seeks an Assistant Director to support the Program Director with hiring and training staff, supervising personnel, and conveying weekly performance to the Director.

The role includes conducting intakes, coordinating participant staffing, and ensuring delivery of service hours in compliance with YAP requirements, with emphasis on strength-based, culturally competent care. Flexible hours may include evenings and one Saturday per month.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Required
• Associate's degree accepted with commensurate experience
• 3–5 years related experience/training in youth services, juvenile justice, or program development
• At least 1 year related experience/training in management/supervision
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer skills; EHR system experience is a plus
• Requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance
• Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus
• Position may have non-traditional flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Director in hiring and training new employees and supervising staff
• Perform intakes and coordinate participant staffing
• Manage delivery of participant service hours while ensuring compliance with YAP requirements
• Communicate weekly performance updates to the Director
• Support a strength-based, culturally competent, unconditional care philosophy
