Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Director to support the Program Director in hiring and training staff, supervising team members, and communicating weekly performance metrics.

The role emphasizes a strength-based, culturally competent approach and coordination of participant services. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 3–5 years in youth services or juvenile justice, and at least 1 year in management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, psychology, criminal justice or related field preferred.
• Three to five years related experience/training in youth services, juvenile justice, community programs, or program development.
• At least one-year related experience/training in management/supervision.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with an electronic health system a plus.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance coverage.
• Bilingual (Spanish speaking) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring and training new employees, motivating staff, and providing supervision.
• Coordinate intakes and staffing, manage weekly service hours to meet required levels while ensuring compliance with YAP and referring authority requirements.
• Communicate weekly performance to the Program Director.
• Travel to community, homes, and schools as needed.
