Job summary

Buckner Children and Family Services in Rockwall, TX is seeking a part-time Children's Program Aide to support the Family Hope Center Program. You will assist with daily operations of after-school programs, summer programs, field trips, tutoring, and Saturday activities; provide guidance, supervision, and nurturing; create a structured, age-appropriate, culturally sensitive environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English professionally.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications; attend CPR, First Aid and restraint training as required.
• Must be able to drive Buckner vehicles or personal vehicle with a valid license; provide proof of insurance; must be 21+ to drive for Buckner.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds continuously.

• Participate with youth in character development and service learning.
• Maintain a positive attitude with children, parents, guests, and coworkers.
• Report any special needs or problems to the supervisor.
• Support daily plans including recreation, responsibility, and spirituality.
• Be flexible for creative program changes and implement them as directed.
• Assist youth with homework, arts, crafts, and recreation activities.
• Provide safe transportation for children in Buckner vehicles as required.
• Attend meetings and in-service training, including CPR/First Aid.
