Job summary

Buckner Children and Family Services seeks a Child and Youth Coordinator for the Family Hope Center Program in Dallas, onsite. You will support youth development, coordinate programs, and build community partnerships to empower families and children.

Responsibilities include coordinating services, enrolling youth in programs, and maintaining program calendars while collaborating with local schools and agencies to meet identified needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• Minimum two years prior related experience required.
• Minimum one-year prior related experience providing community based services, youth and children programs.
• Requires proficient ability to speak, read and write English and Spanish professionally.
• Requires willingness to take CPR, First Aid and specialized activity training.
• Requires proficient knowledge of youth and children community resources and relevant social services.

Responsibilities

• Discuss needs of children and youth with Family Coach and connect empowerment resources.
• Assist youth and children in accessing onsite programs and referrals.
• Coordinate on-site and off-site programs and improve communication among sponsors.
• Support program enrollments, school enrollment, and other services for children and youth.
• Develop relationships with institutions providing education and life skills training.
• Assess needs of youth and children and recruit local programs addressing those needs.
• Coordinate events at the Family Hope Center, such as camps and leadership activities.
• Organize and coordinate a comprehensive children and youth program with area schools.
• Maintain a master calendar of activities and distribute notices to staff.
• Coordinate acquisition and distribution of in-kind donations and write thank-you notes.
