Job summary

Buckner Children's program seeks a part-time Children's Program Aide for the Family Hope Center Program in Fort Worth, TX. You will support daily operations of children's activities, including tutoring, summer and after-school programs, field trips, and weekend activities.

The role emphasizes safe, nurturing supervision, assisting with program activities, and serving as a positive role model for youth. CPR/First Aid certification and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English professionally.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications; training as required.
  • Must be able to drive assigned or personal vehicle with valid license; provide proof of liability insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, age-appropriate environment that fosters growth and personal expression.
  • Participate in youth development and service-learning activities.
  • Maintain a positive, respectful attitude toward children, families, and coworkers.
  • Report any special needs or problems to the supervisor.
  • Follow a daily plan including recreation, responsibility and spirituality.
  • Be flexible to implement program changes as directed.
  • Assist with homework, arts and crafts, and recreation activities.
  • Provide safe transportation for children as needed.
  • Attend meetings and in-service trainings, including CPR/First Aid.
