Job summary

The Junior Youth Development Professional at the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Plains will implement positive youth development practices and supervise youth in designated program areas, ensuring a safe and engaging environment. This half-time position supports program goals and the Club’s mission.

You-th oriented duties include enforcing Club policies, participating in meetings, and collaborating with staff to improve daily activities and space utilization during the school year and summer

Qualifications

• Understand, implement, and demonstrate principles of behavior management in a youth setting.
• Commitment to working four days a week and summer hours.
• Ability to supervise youth and maintain a safe, positive environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement the 5 Key Elements for Positive Youth Development.
• Supervise youth in assigned program areas and ensure safety and security.
• Attend all-staff meetings and regular check-ins; support trimester goals.
• Provide daily feedback to supervisor and suggest program improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
