Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Plains Milbank, SD invites applications for a Junior Youth Development Professional. This part-time, non-exempt role focuses on implementing the five key elements of positive youth development in daily interactions with youth and supervising activities in designated program areas.

You will participate in staff meetings, help set trimester goals, and provide daily feedback while upholding the Club’s values of excellence, teamwork, and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be able to understand, implement, and demonstrate principles of behavior management and other youth treatment modalities.
• Commitment to working four days a week.
• Willingness to work during the summer and school-year hours.
• Must be a current Boys & Girls Club Member.

Responsibilities

• Implement the 5 Key Elements for Positive Youth Development.
• Exhibit the Club Values of excellence, impact driven, teamwork, and good character.
• Ensure all program activities follow the Club’s policies and procedures.
• Be responsible for the safety and security of the youth in the facility.
• Attend 100% of monthly all staff meetings, biweekly one-on-one meetings and biweekly team meetings.
• Assist your supervisor in creating trimester performance plan goals and accomplishing them by the end of each trimester.
• Provide daily feedback to supervisor on how the day went and how programs and the space can improve.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
