Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Kansas City is seeking an Assistant Site Supervisor for its Y Club program in Kansas. You will help manage a licensed school-age site serving Kindergarten through Grade 6, supporting daily operations and ensuring compliance with safety and licensing standards.

Responsibilities include planning activities, managing attendance and finances, supervising staff, and communicating with families and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in ECE/Elementary/Child Development/Psychology or equivalent experience to meet state licensing requirements.
• Understanding of quality school-age development and programming.
• Ability to work with families, staff, and licensing representatives.
• Knowledge of Kansas state licensing standards and director qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day site operations and program flow.
• Develop weekly/monthly activity plans aligned with educational and licensing standards.
• Maintain accurate family accounts and collect accounts receivable balance.
• Ensure staffing coverage and proper staff-to-child ratios.
• Communicate equipment and supply needs to supervisor.
• Maintain safe, engaging environment meeting YMCA and state guidelines.
• Maintain attendance, sign-in/out, and financial records.
• Communicate program issues to supervisors and staff.
• Step into the Site Supervisor role when needed.
