Job summary

Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) is seeking a CYP Assistant to engage children and youth, support social development, and promote healthy choices in a DoD Child and Youth Programs setting.

Responsibilities include planning activities, supervising participants, communicating with families and staff, and ensuring safety and compliance with DoD guidelines across indoor and outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Completion of Navy DoD training requirements within the specified timeframe.
• Ability to promote and foster effective working relationships with children, youth, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Develops schedules and activity plans for children and youth.
• Implements activities that meet physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs.
• Supervises program participants during indoor/outdoor activities and field trips.
• Maintains safety, health, and nutrition practices and reports concerns.
