Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Bay & Lakes Region in Sturgeon Bay is seeking a full-time Youth Program Coordinator to lead engaging programs and build meaningful relationships with youth. You’ll create a safe, inclusive environment, respond to behavioral challenges with empathy, and work with families to support youth success.

The role emphasizes supervision, program planning, and collaboration with staff, with opportunities for professional development and leadership growth.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build positive, supportive relationships with youth and serve as a role model
  • Plan, prepare, and lead engaging lessons and programs that encourage participation and build learning and life skills
  • Create a safe, healthy, inclusive environment where youth feel supported and encouraged to grow
  • Respond to challenging behaviors with patience and empathy
  • Support staff in addressing challenging behaviors and help ensure Club expectations are implemented
  • Partner with staff and families to address youth behavioral concerns and develop strategies that support youth success
  • Monitor and evaluate programs to ensure they are meeting youth needs, interests, and program goals
  • Work with community organizations to provide or expand programming that supports youth success
  • Supervise youth and ensure their safety and well-being while participating in Club programs
  • Support member registration and Club orientation processes
  • Maintain program materials, equipment, and activity areas
  • Participate in staff meetings, supervision, and professional development
  • Work with staff on special events and other Club activities

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • A 2-4-year degree in human services, education, youth development, or a related field
  • Knowledge or experience in youth development
  • Experience developing and implementing programs for children or teens
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Experience leading groups and an understanding of group dynamics

Schedule: School Year: Monday - Friday, 11am–6pm, with opportunities to join a rotating schedule of 12pm–8pm shifts to support Teen Night. Summer: 9am–5:30pm.

Pay: Starting pay at $16.50/hour up to $19.50/hour based on experience
