Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Bay & Lakes Region in Sturgeon Bay is hiring a Youth Behavioral Specialist to support youth through engagement and restorative interventions. The role emphasizes emotional wellness, calm environments, and collaboration with the Emotional Wellness team.

The position requires at least 1 year of youth experience, crisis-management skills, and a commitment to trauma-informed care, with part-time hours and $17–$20 per hour depending on experience.

  • Compassionate, patient, and flexible attitude with strong problem-solving and crisis-management skills.
  • Experience using behavioral management techniques and supporting youth in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide essential support to youth through engagement and intervention, utilizing Emotional Wellness core competencies and restorative practices.
  • Role model positive behaviors and empower youth with valuable life skills, promoting self-esteem and providing alternatives to negative behavior.
  • Work collaboratively with the Emotional Wellness team to track, monitor, and provide tailored interventions to youth who need additional support.
  • Create a calming, supportive environment by utilizing the Zen Den for interventions and skill-building.
  • Maintain detailed case notes and track progress to ensure the success of each youth you work with.

What You'll Do:

Schedule:

Part-Time (Mondays - Fridays, School Year: 1- 6pm and Summer: 10a - 5pm)

*Open to candidates who are available for 3 shifts/week - we can be flexible if M-F doesn't work for you!

Pay:

Starting pay at $17.00/hour up to $20.00/hour based on experience
