Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Bay & Lakes Region is seeking a Youth Behavioral Specialist to provide daily guidance and support to local youth at the Thomas H. Lutsey Unit, Green Bay.

This part-time role emphasizes trauma-informed and restorative approaches to nurture well-being and healthy behavior. You will collaborate with an Emotional Wellness team, document progress, and help create a positive Clubhouse culture.

Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience working with youth.
  • Compassion, patience, strong communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in challenging situations.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Commitment to continuous learning around behavior management, trauma‑informed care, restorative practices, and crisis intervention techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support and positive guidance to youth.
  • Assist with Emotional Wellness programming and promote a positive Clubhouse culture.
  • Support youth with emotional regulation, skill building, and behavioral interventions.
  • Use trauma-informed, restorative, and de-escalation practices to help youth navigate challenges.
  • Collaborate with the Emotional Wellness Team and Clubhouse staff to meet the individual needs of members.
  • Maintain detailed case notes and track data to support member progress.
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate to identify the best supports for youth.

Schedule

Part-Time; Monday – Friday: School Year 1:00pm to 6:00pm; Summer 10:00am to 5:00pm

Pay

Starting at $17/hour and up, based on experience for the position
