Job summary

The Youth Activity Worker position at Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is a full-time nonexempt role with a minimum of 30 scheduled hours per week and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401K, and paid time off.

You will help recruit members, develop and evaluate programs, conduct community outreach, and support staff across sites within the region. Summer Fun Club hours may fluctuate above 30 hours.

Qualifications

• Must be 20 years of age or older and have ability to drive an 8‑passenger van.
• First Aid/CPR Certification, or completion within two months of hire.
• Must possess a School Age Site Assistant Certificate from the Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver age-appropriate programs that reflect the Club’s core program areas and Youth Development Strategy for ages 6–12.
• Directly supervise children and youth in compliance with licensing and policies.
• Recruit members, assist with program development and evaluation, and support community outreach.
• Meet Office of Child Care Licensing annual training requirements (18 hours).
