Job summary

Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) seeks a StreetReach outreach team member to develop connections with communities, engage youth and adults, and implement intervention and mediation strategies in Minneapolis parks and neighborhoods.

The role focuses on promoting safe spaces, mentoring high-risk individuals, and partnering with diverse residents to reduce violence and improve well‑being. Applicants should have experience with youth and homelessness, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Two years of direct youth, adult, teen, and family work in community settings.
• Two years of experience with homelessness populations.
• Must pass a background check and have a driver’s license.
• Communicate respectfully with a diverse community; use courtesy, tact, and good judgment.
• Work independently with general supervision.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Seeking Spanish and English speaking applicants.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities
