The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is seeking an experienced Child Development Supervisor to help coordinate Rec Plus school age care and other child development programs at MPRB facilities across Minneapolis.

You will supervise staff, collaborate with community partners, and ensure high-quality services aligned with the MPRB mission, values, and goals across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Parks & Recreation, Child Development, Youth Development).
• Experience supervising staff and leading programs across multiple sites.
• Experience using youth development program evaluation tools and demonstrating program leadership.

Job description

The MPRB is accepting applications for an experienced Child Development Supervisor to assist in coordinating the implementation of Rec Plus school age care and other child development programs at MPRB facilities to meet the diverse and identified needs in neighborhoods across Minneapolis. Supervise staff in the delivery of programs and services delivered through collaborative community partnerships that ensure high level programs and services in alignment with the mission, vision, values, goals and objectives of the MPRB.

Need to Have:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Parks and Recreation Administration, Child Development, Youth Development, or a related field.
• Increasingly responsible experience in child development work: at least five (5) years.
• Experience supervising the work of others, experience using youth development program evaluation tools, increasingly responsible positions demonstrating program leadership, and demonstrated ability to develop and organize child development programs for multiple sites: at least three (3) years.
