Job summary

Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board seeks a Therapeutic Recreation & Inclusion Supervisor to lead, coordinate, and evaluate therapeutic recreation programs and staff. You will ensure services align with best practices and MPRB goals while partnering with diverse communities.

The role requires coordinating with internal and external partners, managing volunteers, and developing grant proposals to fund program expansion and inclusion initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation Administration or closely related field with Therapeutic Recreation specialization.
• Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience leading therapeutic recreation programs and services.
• First Aid and CPR certifications within one month of hire.
• Valid driver's license with safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, evaluate, plan, modify, and direct delivery of recreation activities and programs for individuals with disabilities.
• Represent MPRB in public settings; meet with stakeholders and staff to assess needs and promote services.
