Job summary

Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) is seeking a Housing Stability for Youth in Courts (H-SYNC) Navigator to support youth and caregivers involved with the Kitsap County Juvenile Court system who are at risk of homelessness or housing instability.

This role collaborates with the Juvenile Court, housing providers, and community partners to implement the H-SYNC program and strengthen pathways to stable housing and supportive services.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in psychology, social services, or behavioral health.
• Experience: Entry-level (no prior related work experience).
• Licensure: Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration.
• This position requires driving clients in a personal vehicle and valid licensing for at least 3 years.

Responsibilities

• One-on-site training for Kitsap County Juvenile Staff regarding housing resources.
• Screening and assessment to connect youth and caregivers to services.
• Program data tracking and reporting in HMIS.
• Coordinate with Juvenile Court staff to discharge to adequate housing and locate resources.
• Network with partner agencies, resources, and community stakeholders.
• Participate in monthly project meetings with HSYNC participants.
• Provide STAY family therapy.
• Provide supportive groups for youth in detention.
• Develop working knowledge of local housing and housing support resources.
• Handle additional responsibilities appropriate to the position.
