Job summary

Indianhead Community Action Agency, Inc. seeks a Housing Navigator to assist youth and young adults facing homelessness with intake, housing options, and access to Coordinated Entry.

You will coordinate housing searches, document progress, and connect participants to community resources. This role emphasizes trauma-informed, youth-centered practice, strong coordination with landlords, and data entry into HMIS, ensuring confidentiality and program requirements are met while advancing housing

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, psychology, sociology, or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered.
• Experience in social services, housing, homelessness services, youth services, or case management is preferred.
• Knowledge of community resources serving low-income individuals is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary point of contact for youth/young adults through outreach for YHDP.
• Complete intake, eligibility screening, assessments, and required documentation.
• Assist with understanding housing options and Coordinated Entry prioritization.
• Provide housing navigation, identify barriers, and support housing placement.
• Develop relationships with landlords, property managers, and community partners.
• Coordinate with case management and HMIS documentation and data entry.
