Job summary

Indianhead Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Housing Navigator to support youth and young adults experiencing or at risk of homelessness under YHDP.

The role focuses on intake, eligibility assessments, and coordination of housing options, with an emphasis on trauma-informed, youth-centered practice. You will build relationships with landlords, assist with housing applications, and ensure accurate HMIS documentation while collaborating with case management to promote long-term housing

Qualifications

• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
• Experience in social services, housing, homelessness services, or case management preferred.
• Knowledge of community resources for low-income individuals and families is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Act as a primary contact for youth and young adults in the YHDP program.
• Complete intake applications, eligibility screening, and assessments.
• Assist with housing navigation, including enrolling in Transitional Housing or Rapid Re-Housing.
• Develop relationships with landlords and housing authorities to expand opportunities.
• Enter participant and service data into HMIS and maintain accurate records.
