Job summary

YMCA of Greater Seattle is seeking BASE program instructors to guide elementary students in a before/after-school enrichment program across multiple campuses. You will lead hands-on activities in sports, arts, STEM, and social-emotional learning, promoting teamwork and safety in a caring environment.

Full-time, onsite role with a 6:45am start and 6:00pm end on school days; the organization emphasizes equity, inclusion and community wellness while offering strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 2 or more years’ experience with children; camps, child care, tutoring, and nannying.
• Ability to model and demonstrate YMCA values: caring, respect, responsibility and honesty.
• CPR/First aid certification and TB tests as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activities within the YDCoE curriculum for BASE.
• Supervise children to ensure health, safety, and positive experiences.
• Guide staff/volunteers overseeing activities.
• Communicate with parents/guardians professionally on a daily basis.
• Follow YMCA policies including safety, abuse prevention and emergencies.
• Maintain site appearance and cleanliness; assist with snacks and check-in/out.
• Support Play Everyday Program during school days; attend trainings as required.
