Job summary

YMCA of Greater Seattle is seeking full-time onsite Lead Instructors for the Before and After-School Enrichment (BASE) program. You will guide elementary age participants through sports, arts, STEM, and hands-on learning, creating a safe, caring place outside of school.

You will support the program supervisor, teach teamwork and social-emotional learning, and assist with Play Everyday Program midday sessions.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience with children in camps, child care, or tutoring.
• Ability to model YMCA values: caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
• Experience planning and leading group activities for children.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities for BASE program.
• Supervise a group of children to ensure safety and positive experiences.
• Support program supervisor and teachers, fostering teamwork and SEL.
• Occasionally support Play Everyday Program at school.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
