Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County in Madison, WI, seeks a Program Director to oversee school-age and teen programming, ensuring quality and compliance with licensing standards. The role reports to the Senior Club Director and requires leadership of staff and budget oversight within a licensed childcare facility.

The position operates primarily 12:00 pm–8:30 pm, Monday–Friday, with flexibility for club needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred in a child development field.
Wisconsin Registry certification required within 3 months of starting.
Minimum 2–4 years of work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization.
Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance if using a personal vehicle.
Infant/Child CPR & AED Certification within three months of assuming the role (training provided).

Responsibilities

Direct the implementation of high-quality programming for school-aged youth in alignment with organizational goals.
Ensure licensing standards compliance for childcare programs and BGCA best practices for teens.
Provide leadership and supervision to school-age and teen staff, ensuring proper youth-to-staff ratios and a safe Club environment.
Lead development, planning, assignment, oversight, and assessment of school-age and teen programming.
Lead the Youth Development Professionals (YDP) team in daily programming through scheduling, training, and coaching.
Manage grant-funded programming and ensure compliance with grant requirements and objectives.
Foster partnerships with program partners to support Club programming and community engagement.
